Winter proof
A warm dock house for West Michigan cold fronts
December through March this is a basecamp: eight people, two living rooms, central heat, a fire pit in the yard, and a private dock to stage augers and sleds. Parking for three trucks. Pets allowed. Pigeon Creek Park (West Olive) is the XC / snowshoe / lighted sledding option; Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl and Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park — one of four public U.S. luge tracks — are a short drive. Grand Haven Winterfest lands in late January.
Ice fishing happens when ice is actually safe. Spring Lake is a rivermouth. We do not sell walk-out-the-door ice. Read the winter page.

Lake days start at the dock — Grand Haven is 10–15 minutes
June through August: all-sports Spring Lake from a private dock, a huge back deck with a grill, a lower patio for lakefront dinners, and a large yard. The Lakeside Trail serves this side of the lake. Fruitport is minutes; Grand Haven State Park and the South Pier lighthouses are a 10–15 minute drive. Coast Guard Festival weeks in late July fill the town — book those on Airbnb early.
